COERR Kanchanaburi Supported the Bridge and Road Repair after Floods and Mudslides in Ban Don Yang

   In May 2021, there were heavy rains that caused flooding in Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province.

   The fast flowing water fast had an impact on the bridge that is the entrance to Section D, E, F1, F2 and G of the Temporary Shelter. The floods damaged the pier of the bridge, made it necessary to have a repair in order to prevent further damage to the bridge, and danger of its pedestrians.

   COERR Kanchanaburi then provided 5 bags of cement powder, 20 bags of gravel and 20 bags of sands to repair the pier. The construction was implemented and completed in June.

   In June, there were also heavy rains that affected the road in Ban Don Yang, especially the part near the slope which had an impact of mudslides along the road, causing difficulty and danger for cars and pedestrians. Moreover, this affected part was in front of the school, made it urgent for the road to be repaired before the school new semester open, in order to avoid difficult travelling of schoolchildren, cars and community passer-by.

   Therefore, COERR distributed 25 bags of cement powder, 2 cubic meters of gravel and 2 cubic meters of sand to complete the road repair.
